More One Last Thing
As much as I want to get some words on the page for FZA, I think more One Last Thing is winning out for next novella project. Little scenes keep coming to me and the plot is churning in my head so I think that will come before FZA. It will probably be less than 5 chapters but I am totally in the brainstorm-y stage for FZA.

Bright Lines VI
Haley is finally released from Ft. Pride with the help of St. John. Covered in Forge's tattoos he goes immediately to a care center. He still has some PTSD from what happened to him and is prepared to have  all his RLA memeories  extracted from his brain in an experimental procedure. But then he catches a glimpse of Maxwell, now a senator and engaged, on the news he breaks himself out of the care center...

Bright Lines V / She's a Princess

 A few weeks ago I went into a fugue state and ended up making an embarrassingly large amount of serial inspired images. I'm going to share some more of them now...I basically looked at manga scene makers and kind of inserted character how I saw fit.

This one is Ariel and Sera in the Victorian era when Sera goes undercover as a man to...IDK try and stop Jack The Ripper or something and got hurt so Ariel is patching her up.

This one is supposed to Rin and Abigail from HMLIS. This one didn't have great outfit options.

 

I tried to do a Minnie/Alan and this was as close as I got

Bright Lines V

Recap: Maxwell and Haley have been at Ft. Pride for 5 years and one day they watch as the Eastern State takes over Ft. Perch, ending the RLA and the war. We find out  Maxwell has been leaking information to the Eastern State and when the Eastern States comes to take over Ft. Pride Maxwell leaves Haley locked in a cell with the tattoo artist Forge DeCartes.

Bright Lines IV / This is Probably A Mistake

So...I still have no idea if FZAFSOAAWA will be a thing, but this is some inspy I made for it and wanted to share. I know I'm being a giant tease and I probably shouldn't post this, but I do kind of hope I have a few chapters of it by the end of the summer. Right now FZA... and a short One Last Time sequel are fighting for my outlining attention...also Jacket Serial needs an ending.

As I said in the post, BL III  this was my original idea for a MaxwellHaley sequel; a prison break. But then I had this thought that it would be more realistic that Haley would be running from Maxwell instead of the prisoners and the story is kind of built around that.

Let's keep rolling!

Recap: A prison break at Ft. Pride is caused by Mjollner Street Saumari Belle--although no one knows  how exactly she arranged it from the inside.  Haley tries to escape during the prison break but is attacked by the prisoners and caught by the RLA when back up arrives. Maxwell gets an undressing from his superior (and ex-girlfriend Cassia Winthrop) 

4-years later Haley and Maxwell they are both still at Ft. Pride and watch on TV as the  RLA flag comes down from RLA headquarters

Bright Lines III / Litany Lane AU

Um, so I have an entire folder of pointless fanart that no one asked for but I'm going to share every now and then.

I call this one Nightfall Academy. In my head this is an AU of Litany Lane that takes place at a boarding school called Nightfall and Emile is like the teacher who kind of ships his students so he makes Fierro and Clara work on a project together. The orphaned, sheltered Fierro is intimated by Clara, who is the new, popular, virtuoso party girl but then she agrees to give him piano lessons

Okay and because I'm a giant pushover who is ready to see the Jacket Serial Variant Cover ?

I feel like Jacket Serial has become slightly overhyped, but I've hit a real stride with it...which is bittersweet because I won't really have anything else completely done after Jacket Serial.

Bright Lines II

This meme pretty much sums up Maxwell from Compulsion to Bright Lines: 

In Compulsion Maxwell does have feelings for Haley but over time (when he stopped thinking of Haley as an idea but as a person) those feelings have faded. We will examine this more in upcoming chapters.

Bright Lines III

Recap: All of the prisoner cells in Northland Penitentiary have mysteriously opened and the prisoners have gone on a killing spree around Ft. Pride, where there penitentiary is located. Sgt. Maxwell goes to hide in the abandoned penitentiary and locks himself, Haley, Forge and Belle inside for his own safety but just as the building goes into lockdown Haley slips out at the last minute to attempt his own escape....

Shit-town
Let's step back to UL3 for a moment. I've meant to blog about this for a while but I kind of saw Freeport as a shit town from Rhett's perspective.

 Also, I kind of have an idea for a sequel to One Last Thing. I don't know much about it but I'm thinking it would be from Juliana's perspective and it would be like a 3-4 chapter thing. I'm just not sure how to make it all work. I just have three really clear scenes and I'm not sure how to connect them.

Bright Lines
As I mentioned in the comments the title comes Bright Lines from the legal term bright line rule, which is a rule or law that is followed with "exact interpretation to produce consistent results". So, Haley sealed his fate when he tried to run from Ft. Pride even though he's running away for a good reason.

This serial is a little bit darker, but I wanted to expand on that dark, unsettling feeling of the Compulsion epilogue.

It's also all written out so it's really hard for me not to reveal everything in the comment section !

Bright Lines picks up about 4 months after the end of Compulsion. Maxwell has been assigned to Ft. Pride and Haley has gone with him. This serial is going to be told in 4-5 distinct acts and I've tried to write it in a way where there doesn't need to be a recap.

Arkham Academy IV
 Recap
Luce discovers that the mysterious new girl in school is Summer Walker, the daughter of Julian Walker and that there is a hit out on her. Her family paid the Shy Cartel to protect her and that is how she ended up at Arkham. When Eden (a girl in school he's become friends with), Summer and Luce cause a disturbance at school their punishment is to work on their Sophomore class garden. 

So, there is going to be a small time jump. We are basically going to skip past the kidnapping of Rias and get to what it happening a few weeks later with Luce while Alan is undercover as a Mjollner in Compulsion.
