Questions I MissedI actually didn't intend for that post to have so many questions, so I clocked out early,but here are the ones I missed. story overall so I feel like I know a lot about them that never gets put in the serials, but I'm sure I'll include later.
Also I have something that I wanted to explore in this serial but never really did about Sara. She is really not 100% okay with Luce being a cyborg.She is afraid the surgeries to his brain and cybernetics could have messed up his conscious since Luce is so agressive. That's why she sent him away from the cartel life to boarding school and also why she doesn't let him hold Rias in chapter 2.
In the back of her head she thinks he will kill Rias out of jealousy.
I'm actually really curious in what ways Compulsion is an answer to Hidden and not Sundays. I never thought of it this way, but yes this is more Sundays re-written. I said Hidden because I still think of everything being very much Alan-centric and he's not in Sundays. I think a reason I like writing Sundays is because I like writing these two characters who are just stuck in a place and will always be there and how they make that work.

Why did Isla's marry young ?Isla married young because she fell in love and she needed a reason for it to be okay that she left her family's home even though they were all kind of a mess.
Is Isla a good mother ?So, in retrospect I probably would have taken the thing about Skylar/ Rias not caring about Isla out. I was kind of going for the deep-down-in-his-baby-brain-he-always-knew-she-wasn't-his-mother thing. That's why every scene 'Skylar' is in he is crying.
Let's RecapWarning: This serial sounds so insane when you put it all together.18-year-old Juliana Reese is sent away from the United Light commune to be married to Sawyer Miller. But Sawyer isn’t about the UL life and neither is Juliana. When the commune leader, Caine realizes they aren’t doing what he wants he threatens Juliana and tells them if they pay him half a million dollars he will leave them be. And just to ensure the money he kidnaps Sawyer’s girlfriend Elisa.
Sawyer resorts to selling meth and is shortly arrested in a lab explosion. When he goes to jail Julianna is forced to find...other means. When Sawyer gets out they return to give Caine the money, but Caine wants to keep Juliana on the commune--she fakes a pregnancy to go back with Sawyer and Elisa to Miami.
I probably should have been end of story here but…
Juliana goes back to Miami and falls for Cortland, a rich New England frat boy. It doesn't end well and then Elisa gets a phone call from Rosa, her friend from her time at the commune that things are changing and she needs help to escape. They race back to get her and find that Caine is being more controlling to the members.They are quickly caught sneaking around and Caine takes Juliana.
Caine keeps her in his house as his fiance and figurehead as someone who left the fold and came back. He tortures her to get her to cooperate and she learns about the darkness behind UL and about the young Tranquility Lights Caine picks off the street. She witnesses Caine kill Rosa's fiance for defecting and learns that UL has been stockpiling illegal weapons. When Caine takes her to one of his recuritment trips she is able to escape with the help of her father (and one of the TLs...). She goes to her parents condo in Connecticut that is a safehouse and she sees older TLs have been staying there, but they have to go back to the commune to help get more people out.
When they go back, a struggle ensues and the commune is raided and they are all free.
United Light RetConSawyer is no longer Caine’s illegitamte son. Instead he’s related by marriage--meaning that one of his aunts is married to one of Caine’s brothers.
United Light II
Juliana is dealing with the trauma of being held captive by Caine, her mother's death and the raid. She has selective mutism and moves in with her father at his condo in Connecticut. They are soon joined by Tessa and her daughter Hallie. Tessa had been placed with Juliana’s Dad after her mother died by Caine but Juliana soon figures out Tessa and her Dad were having an affair when Tessa stayed at a shelter that UL members volunteered at.
Juliana is adjusting when she gets a summons to Florida where Raleigh Collins--whose brother, Logan was engaged to Rosa and killed by Caine--represents them in the trial.. But one piece of evidence--a tape of Caine beating her-- has been altered and unless they find the original it could ruin Juliana’s case. Juliana and Rhett--a TL who helped her escape from UL-- go off to find the original tape. When the get back they are ready for trial except….
The defendants lawyer has ID’d tape of Juliana breaking into a police car to steal evidence to protect Sawyer and they also dig up prostitution ads they had set up to lure men to sell drugs.
While Caine is given 18 years, Juliana is given 3 years at a halfway house...because Florida still has very strict Regan-era drug laws.RetCon United Light II- There is an epilogue where she gets off a bus in CT, but that doesn't really exist in this timeline.
- Also, in this serial Rhett takes Juliana to his childhood home, but that has been retconned (er, Rhett-coned) out.
